Black Phillip Marionette

My design for this marionette was inspired by the character Black Phillip from the 2015 film The Witch directed by Robert Eggers. *** SPOILERS*** He is 17th century Satan incarnate.
His face was sculpted while referring to photos of actor Daniel Malik who plays the human form of Black Philip in The Witch. The sculpt was made from plastilina clay, from which I created a silicone mold. The cast was made with Easyflo Liquid Plastic. Philip's satyr body is wood shaped using a bandsaw, belt sander, hand carving tools, and and sandpaper.
I painted his head with Golden acrylic paints, made a wig and goatee from synthetic hair, and covered his thighs in faux fur. His doublet is black velvet lined in crimson silk, and his hat is wool felt shaped on a coffee mug.

Queen Elizafish I
I designed the mask Queen Elizafish I based on the last Tudor Monarch and the redcap goldfish. She was sculpted on a bust in wet clay. Her mold was made in hydrostrone, and the mask was cast with liquid latex. Her Majesty's eyes are plastic Christmas ornaments. She is painted with Golden Acrylic paints and adorned with organza, pearls, glass beads, a shell, and fake aquarium grass.
